More options than just river trips!
We are well-known for Mersey canoe trips, and so these are our most popular service to youth groups. Loads of groups come to us on Summer term evenings (and sometimes weekends) for our Short Splash trip.
Increasingly some groups are asking us to offer some of our other activities as evening sessions or weekend activity days. For some local groups we've offered a weekly evening session with different activities on different nights.
River trips for youth groups
We offer a choice of Rafted Canoe / Solo Canoes / Sit on Top Kayaks / Stand Up Paddle Boards.
Fun Splash
With this session we paddle on a fixed session on the River by our Centre.
This is most suited for youngest groups ( Beavers / Rainbows) or for those groups that might want to include it in a multi-activity evening or for those groups that want to start and finish at the same location.
SOME GROUPS HAVE SQUEEZED THEIR BEAVERS IN AT 5.30pm BEFORE THEIR OLDER CHILDREN COME TO EITHER REPEAT THE SAME FIXED SESSION OR GO ON A RIVER TRIP.
Contact us to discuss a price...it's a cheaper option but the price depends if multiple groups coming or just one.
Short Splash Trip
This is our most popular service to youth groups. More and more groups come to us on an evening from April until early September ( and sometimes weekends) because this is short enough to do on a long evening.
We ask you to tell the group 6.15pm for a prompt 6.30pm briefing and kit up
Pick up at Northenden between 8.15pm to 8.45pm ( times vary depending on promptness of setting off and age of children/number of adults etc
Can be requested for a weekend or school holiday
2023 prices £14/head rafted canoe. £16/head solo canoe/kayak/SUP
Metrolink Trip
Due to the length of this trip ( 2 1/2 to 3 hours) we only offer this as a daytime trip, either at weekends or weekdays ( Bank Holiday & School Holidays). This trip is only suitable for + 11 years as the younger ones get tired/bored after an hour ( choose Short Splash instead).

Land based activities
Increasingly groups are booking some of our land based offer for an evening or coming at the weekend. Some groups even planning a series of mid-week sessions.
Archery from £7/head (£5.00/head if self-led*)
Problem Solving £4/head (£2.00 if self-led*)
Bouldering £5/head (£3.00/head if self-led*)
Bushcraft ( fire making / wood craft) £4/head (£2.00/head if self-led*)
Orienteering FREE
Pond Dips £5/head ( £2.50/head if self-led*)
NEW Cave-maze £4/head (£2.00/head if self-led*)
NEW Climbing Tower from £5/head ( depends on numbers and time)
We are also in the process of developing a Balancing/Tricky trail.
ALL PRICES NOW INCLUDE VAT and payment can be made on the night or after through an invoice based on final numbers.
* Lots of uniformed groups will feel in a position to self lead some of these activities ( either because they are qualified/permitted to do so such as archery and climbing or because they are confident to do so) BUT please note that during self led activities the liability, apart from equipment, moves to your group and you need to make sure your insurance covers this.
