Environmental studies

Our Centre is uniquely situated in the Mersey Valley Nature Park and at the start of the river Mersey flood plain. We use a small area of woodland, a meadow, a fantastic dipping pond, and of course Mersey for environmental studies that cover aspects of the science and geography curriculums. We have function rooms and covered outdoor areas but we prefer to send classroom materials before your visit.

Mersey River Study (KS2 and KS3)

Our most popular offering starts with a river study in the morning, including dipping for invertebrates, then a canoe trip in the afternoon to view flood protection and erosion protection features. Classroom materials are sent beforehand to prepare the pupils.

Dates possible: May to start of Oct.
Classes up to 30 in size.
£420/class of 30 pupils
